Who is on the LSCB?

 

The LSCB is made up of managers from all the statutory agencies involved with safeguarding children, as well as senior practitioners who provide expert advice.   As at June 2012 the agencies represented on the LSCB are:

 

  • RBWM teams (Children’s services, Education, Youth offending, Community and Youth, Drug services and Adult Social Care, Housing)
  • Health Trusts (CCG, NHS Berkshire)
  • Thames Valley Police
  • Thames Valley Probation
  • Housing Association
  • Child and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS)
  • The voluntary sector
  • Schools and Further Education establishments
  • Lay Members (non professional observers)
  • Pan Berkshire Legal advisory service

NOTES:

The LSCB has an independent Chair who is not employed by any of the agencies, but is accountable for the work of the Board to the local authority via the Director of Children’s Services.

 

 

The LSCB Business Manager and Lead Member for Children’s Services are participating members but do not have voting rights.
